Workshop: Het grote halfschild (zwaard en schild)

Jasper is sinds 2015 actief binnen HEMA. Hij is zijn carrière begonnen bij een nieuwe club in Leiden waar hij al snel opgroeide tot instructeur en zo HEMA en zijn studie vroeg middeleeuwse archeologie kon combineren. Na zijn afstuderen is hij bij verschillende clubs in Nederland gaan trainen voor hij zijn eigen club in Alphen aan den Rijn oprichtte in 2021/2022. Historische Krijgskunst Alphen is sindsdien uitgegroeid tot zo’n 50 leden en richt zich op langzwaard, rapier, sabel en zwaard&beukelaar. Hoewel de vroeg middeleeuwse wapens niet veel meer gebruikt worden, houden ze nog altijd een speciaal plekje in zijn hart!

Workshop: The Large Half-Shield (Sword and Shield)

Jasper has been active at HEMA since 2015. He began his career at a new club in Leiden, where he quickly rose to the rank of instructor, allowing him to combine HEMA with his studies in early medieval archaeology. After graduating, he trained at various clubs in the Netherlands before founding his own club in Alphen aan den Rijn in 2021/2022. Historical Martial Arts Alphen has since grown to around 50 members and focuses on the longsword, rapier, saber, and sword and buckler. Although early medieval weapons are no longer widely used, they still hold a special place in his heart!
